Warping Warping is the bending or distortion of a concrete slab caused by uneven moisture or temperature changes through its thickness. The slab edges or corners may lift or curl.

Warping occurs when one side of a concrete slab expands or contracts more than the other. This movement can create uneven joints, rocking slabs, or localized stress that contributes to cracking. Proper curing, joint design, and construction practices help reduce the likelihood of excessive warping.
