Curb line

Sidewalk Anatomy & Site Components
Curb line The boundary marking where the paved sidewalk ends and the roadway or gutter begins, forming the outer edge of the sidewalk's width.

The curb line is the far reference point DOT uses when specifying transverse slope, since flags must pitch consistently from the building line toward this edge to drain properly. It's also where curb replacement, curb cuts, and driveway apron work all take place, making it the natural dividing point between sidewalk-focused repairs and curb-focused ones. On a corner property, the curb line typically continues around the radius into the intersecting street, which is part of why corner lots often carry a larger repair obligation.
